Even Julius Caesar complained about going bald at a young age and even some historians say that the more hair he lost, the larger his laurel wreath became at state functions. And two millennia later on, science still doesn’t have very effective hair loss products.
Some of us can blame it on our grandparents. Genetics is the number one cause of hair loss and something that’s not easy to fight. Combined that with a bad diet low in vitamin B sources, and your hair could be falling out faster than you even want to admit. Too many people, however, wait too long to find some help and by the time they try, it’s too late to make much of a difference.
If you think your hair is falling out faster than it should be, you’re probably right. Some people deny the obvious thinking the problem will go away on its own. It won’t. The only thing going away is your hair.
Have your doctor run some tests. There could be a simple reason why your hair is thinning, and with a few changes or a short term prescription, you could find yourself in recovery mode. Or, you might be experiencing problems with hormones and vitamin deficiencies that can be corrected, to a point, with some short term success. One of the major culprits is your testosterone level, and if this is out wack, you could have something called HDT, a byproduct of testosterone, killing off your hair follicles one by one. Usually, this is hard to fix.
A vitamin B deficiency can be equally devastating but easily dealt with. A few weeks with some pharmaceutical grade dosages and you could see improvement. Vitamin B is needed for basic cellular sustenance, and is a very important nutrient for your hair and follicles.
For more severe cases, there are oral medications and topical ointments that pretty much all do and promise the same thing. Results vary widely. Some people see improvement in hair growth almost immediately; others use the products for almost a year without seeing any significant improvement at all. A few even complain that hair grew in the wrong place such as on their feet.
These products can become very expensive especially when you need to replenish them on a regular basis. It could take 9 – 12 months to see any results, and when you do, you might find it wasn’t worth the money.
